Mike Catris: Managing Director / Company Secretary

Mike was a founder Partner of NJP in 1983 and when the practice became incorporated in 2001 he naturally assumed the position as Managing Director.

Mike has a diverse and extensive experience of the industry and specialises in the areas of Feasibility and Economy of Design, Contract Administration of multi-million pound developments, Project Management and Framework Agreements, Contract Law, Value Engineering, Expert Witness, developing new and sustaining longstanding client relations and is a registered CDM Co-ordinator.

Mike is responsible for our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and believes that the greatest contribution we can make as a service provider is to influence our clients and suppliers in methods of project design and procurement, as to create sustainable, socio-economic and environmental benefits for all sections of society.

As a Fellow of the ICE Mike is an accredited Supervising Civil Engineer (SCE) and is committed to the ICE training scheme and has a structured mentorship and training programme, operating at all levels to ensure the continuous learning and development of staff.
   
Richard Dean: Technical Director
BSc (Hons), CEng, MIStructE, FConsE, FFB

Richard’s position as Technical Director enables him to directly apply his extensive experience of design and construction techniques within a variety of procurement methods including Framework Agreements and the NEC Suite of Contracts.

He has specialist knowledge of geotechnical engineering and significant experience in brownfield remediation. However, one of his main passions is working within the education sector and to ensure an excellent project is delivered to the client which exceeds the original client aspirations.

Richard actively promotes sustainable design options within the Practice to reinforce and underpin our unique and cost-effective engineering design solutions that remains the trademark of NJP Limited.

Richard has responsibility for the daily management and resourcing of a number of current projects across the United Kingdom, for both Public and Private Sector clients. As such he has significant experience of providing both new build and refurbishment projects within operational campuses.
   
Geoff Sparkes: Director
BSc, CEng, MICE, FFB, MIHT

Geoff Sparkes is a Chartered Civil and Highways & Transportation Engineer with more than 35 years experience in the industry being more than 20 years as a Chartered Engineer.

Along his successful career Geoff has been involved in the feasibility analysis and design of major infra-structures from drainage schemes, flood assessment analysis, transportation studies to roads and bridges.

With his vast experience Geoff is always a strong element of the design team bringing together the best engineering concept which will deliver all the clients requirements within the proposed budget.
